Dear all,

while I was running Telemac 2d simulation I came with this error

(GRACJG (BIEF) : EXCEEDING MAXIMUM ITERATIONS: 50 RELATIVE PRECISION: 0.1333291E-06)

several time. I went through forum responses and made changes accordingly like solver accuracy, free surface gradient(0.9) and solver(1) along with treatment of linear systems (2).
after this changes the run was smooth and the warning was still there and simulation completed but without any result.
anyone please help me with what is the cause of this error ! I am attaching my .cas file along with.

thanks and regards

Hello

It's hard to know without knowing the resolution of yuor mesh, but 60s seems like a too high timestep, I would try reducing it.

Thanks for you reply Gunaro ,I also tried in low time steps like 10 also and same problem occurred. can you please explain what will be the cause of the error ? i am sorry that due to some reasons I cannot upload my mesh file.

thanks and regards

Hello,

As GunnarÖ suggested, I would also try to decrease the time step. Depending on your mesh resolution and local velocities, 10 s may be not enough and may have to be decreased again.

What is strange is that if your computation has finished with "My work is done", a result file should be written. What about running the computation with option -t to keep the temporary folder. Do you have any T2DRES file inside?
If you still have the output file, what is written after between "ELAPSE TIME" and "My work is done"?

You can upload a .zip file containing several files. .zip is an allowed extension of files. If it is too big, you can provide from an external link.

Hi there,

I have the T2DRES file inside after the simulation and shows nothing when opened. so I can reduce the time step and will try again so that can see what will be the output. thanks for your help.
