Hi everyone ! :cheer:

I'm currently building a project about the Var river in Nice.
I need to test a flood scenario with various bottom friction coefficient in the area of study.
I already gave a look to the following topic :

www.opentelemac.org/index.php/assistance...iWjZSTOoKPJm7g5paBc8

But it doesn't really helped me that much. I do obtain in my selafin both layers BOTTOM (3D Bathymetry) and BOTTOM FRICTION (flat, with various zones which i attributed different friction coef), but when i plot the bottom friction map after running T2D , the coef is the same everywhere.

Do i have to write a coefficient value and law in the .cas, knowing that they are available in the BOTTOM FRICTION layer of the selafin ?

My professor also told me about the modification of the FORTRAN files, using the strche.f method and inpoly() function, but i don't have the competences to do that. Hard to find a way to proceed in the general manual.

Any help would be more than welcome for a method or another !

Hello,

If you added the variable "BOTTOM FRICTION" in the GEOMETRY FILE, you could check it in the listing. You should find a message like:
FONSTR : FRICTION COEFFICIENTS READ IN THE GEOMETRY FILE

Do you use a "PREVIOUS COMPUTATION FILE"? In that cas, do you already have a "BOTTOM FRICTION" in this file? Perhaps it conflicts with the GEOMETRY FILE, try to remove it.

Hope it helps.
Best Regards,
Luc
