Fortran code in telemac-2d 2 years 8 months ago #39982

Hello telemac2d:
I just studied telemac2d for two months, in the learning process, I have some problems as follows.
First, I'm reading the fortran code in telemac2d recently, the path of the code in my computer is 'C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v7p2r3\sources\telemac2d'. But I can't find the main program. I want to know which one is the main program? And is there a project file for FORTRAN code?
Second, during the time I used telemac2d, I find that some examples need a file which end with '.f' to run, such as the telemac2d case in the path of 'C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v7p2r3\examples\telemac2d\bj78'. I don't know the effect of the file. And how does it join the runing of the program?
Thanks for you help.
Best wishes.

Hello Song,

First, you should upgrade to the latest release v8p3r1. Release v7p2r3 is already more than 4 years old! Many fixes and improvements have been introduced since this release.

Anyway, for TELEMAC-2D, the main program is homere_telemac2d.

To understand the use of extra Fortran files (Fortran user files), I strongly advise you to read the TELEMAC-2D user manual available with the source files or also here:
wiki.opentelemac.org/doku.php?id=documentation_latest

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan
