Hi guys,

I am trying to produce a steady simulation but when I try to run it the log says I'm exceeding the max iterations. It says:
GRACJG (BIEF) : EXCEEDING MAXIMUM ITERATIONS: 200 RELATIVE PRECISION: NaN
GRACJG (BIEF) : EXCEEDING MAXIMUM ITERATIONS: 50 RELATIVE PRECISION:

On another post I saw that it barely has something to do with the maximum number of iterations. My tutor says my model is converging(super critical flow?), but I don't know how to solve this issue.
Hope someone can help me with this, thanks in advance!

As I said in the other thread you should think about your initial conditions:
- you give 152m as downstream waterlevel
- initial condition 'constant depth' at 152.m (which mean water level of bed elevation + 152m, about 300m in your case)
That will create a steep water slope at the downstream end!

Try use constant water level, maybe use slowly increasing discharge to 'warm up' the model and create a initial condition file.

OK now I get it. I mixed up constant depth with constant elevation. Thanks for your help and patience!
