I am using a wave state created in Tomawac to drive a telemac2d wave induced currents. What are the formulae that telemac 2d uses to convert a wave state of wave heights Hm0 to wave induced currents? This has not been mentioned in the manuals

Hello,

The force given by Tomawac under the name FORCE FX and FORCE FY is just added to the right-hand side of the momentum equation. This force is the depth-integrated radiation stress built in Tomawac in subroutine radiat.f

A reference is :

Waves in oceanic and coastal waters by Leo H. Holthuijsen (Cambridge). I is chapter 7.4 on page 225.

We'll add details in the documentation in a further release.

With best regards,

Giovanni Mattarolo and Jean-Michel Hervouet
