I have compiled v6p1 from the svn source with gfortran 4.1.2 and big-endian. This was succesful and I tried one of the test cases (014_cavity) for telemac2d. At the end of the installation doc is a remark about homere_telemac2d.f required as the main program, is this still required in v6p1? Should this line 27 in t2d_cavity_v1p0.cas be updated?

FORTRAN FILE = t2d_cavity_v1p0.f

I tried execution without homere_telemac2d.f added and it started

telemac2d t2d_cavity_v1p0.cas

This fails with an error, as in the snippet of output below:

OPENING FILES FOR TELEMAC2D

READGEO1: TITLE= MAILLAGE TRIGRID

signal 11 tends to be a segmentation violation, f.i. array access out of bounds. Is v6p1 compatible with the examples for v6p0?

Thanks

Henk

Hello,

No, this test-case works here on 2 compilers with only subroutine CORFON in the Fortran file. The main program homere-telemac2d should be taken in library 6.1 if you use it, but it is only necessary with some compilers.

So just try other tests to see if it is a general problem, or just linked to this very test-case.

I have tried telemac2d/011_bumpflu The directory has both a v6p1 and v6p0 cas file.
telemac2d t2d_bumpflu_v1p1.cas

started off and now hangs? with this output

TITRE DU CAS PRECEDENT: TELEMAC 2D : ECOULEMENT FLUVIAL SUR UN OBSTACLE$

NOM: VITESSE U UNITE: M/S
NOM: VITESSE V UNITE: M/S
NOM: HAUTEUR D'EAU UNITE: M
NOM: SURFACE LIBRE UNITE: M
NOM: FOND UNITE: M
NOM: FROUDE UNITE:
NOM: DEBIT SCALAIRE UNITE: M2/S
NOM: HAUTEUR EXACTE UNITE: M
NOM: VITESSE EXACTE UNITE: M/S
NOM: SURFACE EXACTE UNITE: M
NOM: FROUDE EXACT UNITE:

I run this in serial mode how long is this test supposed to take? There are a number of output files as well in the directory e.g. ...11h28min34s.sortie Does this indicate a run of several hours or is the program hanging?

Thanks

Henk

No, this test-case takes a few seconds only on any machine, so there must be something wrong in the installation.
