gravity waves in telemac2d

I am aware that it is possible to simulate tide waves in Telemac2D by varying the water level elevation to match the behavior of the tide. However is it plausible to simulate gravity waves in Telemac2D using the same principle?

Hello,
You may do this but non linear waves are not solution of Saint-Venant equations. Then you can try Boussinesq equations, but they are so far programmed only with the primitive equations option, and it will be more "expensive".
In any case think of using the Thompson boundary conditions.

Thank you.
Are you aware of any publications in which Telemac 2D coupled with sisyphe has been used to generate gravity waves and then to model beach erosion?
