I have a coarse model covering a very large area. I'd like to extract water levels and velocities from this model and set them as boundary conditions for a more detailed submodel.
For the submodel, velocity directions are not always perpendicular to the boundary (varies during tidal cycle) and water levels and velocity magnitudes vary with both time and distance along the boundary. In BlueKenue, I have extracted H, UVMag, and UVDir timeseries along the submodel boundary line from the coarse model result file. Any ideas on the best approach or direction on how to assign the boundary condition for the submodel would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

If you can program in Fortran, the best would be that you implement your boundary conditions in subroutine bord.f, it is just a matter of filling the arrays HBOR, UBOR and VBOR for the boundary of your subdomain. Actually all bord.f could be replaced by setting HBOR, UBOR and VBOR for points with prescribed values.

With best regards,
