Hello,

I started to test a lot Telemac2D. I'm wandering what it the best way to model a bridge.

In the examples provided with telemac2D, the bridge piers are modeled by "no mesh", like in the "Donau" or "pildepon" example.
But so, it doesn't model the roadway. For flooding simulation, it's a huge problem.

So how do you model the bridge ? Do you represent the bridge by huge culverts ? (but you don't take into account when the water level flow over the roadway).

Do you build several models ?

Thanks for answers.

[Same reply as for the post of Quentin Hub]

Hi

There is an increasing need for a bridge model in Telemac2D. This question was pointed out in the frame of the developper meeting last few weeks. Hopefully the development is already achieved by one of our partners and we hope include the model in the next release i.e. V6P2.
For the moment I refer you to the following post ant the answers related to it:

With my kind regards.

Thanks for answering. I'm glad to see that telemac2d will improve on this particular point on the next version.
