Hi

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to internally couple Telemac2d with Sisyphe and Tomawac at the same time? If so what do you put the keyword COUPLING WITH equal too?

Cheers

Fay

Dear Fay,
we are working on this subject. Hopefully this option will be ready for the next release of the Telemac system.

All the best,

Pablo

Thanks Pablo, do you know roughly when that version is likely to be released?

Thanks, will it be possible to run this three-way internal coupling in parallel?

Hello,

Yes, this is independent, it should work in parallel also.

Hi,

I’ve been looking into the features log of the recently release version of TELEMAC, but I’ve been unable to find a description of how to internally couple Telemac2D-Sisyphe-Tomawac.

I guess at the end this option has not been included in this release, has it?

Regards,
Sebastián

Hello,

Yes, we are still in the situation that you can couple the 3 codes formally, but Sisyphe would not communicate with Tomawac (except by files as was done before). The theoretical question that is pending is the following: if the currents take the waves into account, should there now be extra terms on sediment side. The answer is yes (sediment is moved by the waves, not only by the current generated by waves). So to my opinion we lack some connection between Tomawac and Sisyphe through Telemac-2D when the 3 are coupled.

With best regards,

Dear all,

I have been looking at the different ways to couple the different modules of the TELEMAC system (e.g. SISYPHE with TELEMAC2D) in the TELEMAC documentation. I have a question regarding the uncoupled mode (i.e., chaining method). Does the user need to input manually the morphodynamic output file into the TELEMAC2D module everytime the morphodynamic computation has stopped once the bed elevation has exceeded a certain percentage of the initial water depth or is it somehow done automatically as in the case of the internal coupling? And what about vice-versa (i.e., input the hydrodynamic output file into the SISYPHE module)?

Thank you for your reply,

Jean-Philippe
