Hello, I'm a geomatic student from Italy.
I'm doing my studentship in Strasbourg at SERTIT (regional service of image treatment and remote sensing), working about flash flood and urban streaming in Haiti. I'm using right now Hec-ras software to analyze critical river sections and overflowing zones. I would like to know if it will be better to use TELEMAC for a project like this one. Is it possible to find any tutorial (or videos) with similar study cases?

Thanks very much
Andrea

Ciao Andrea,
It is not exactly you application but I think it can help you as starting point: in the Telemac validation cases you can take a look to the Malpasset dambreak case (a propagation of a wave over a complex topography initially dry) and also to the parabolic bowl case (a verification test for flooding and drying with analytical solution).

I hope this help,

ciao ciao

Pablo

Thanks Pablo,
I will check it. Do you know any other software (better if open source) with graphical interface, already used to solve flash flood and urban streaming problems?

Thank you very much
Andrea
