Hey,

I used V6P1 version of Télémac in Win7 64 bits with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and Visual fortran XE. The compilation of telemac is right.
But when I try to run a simulation in parallel this message appear :
______________________________________________________________________________
*** EXECUTION ***

lancement MPI : mpiexec -localonly 2 out5028_win64.exe
Unknown option: -d
Error while connecting to host, Aucune connexion nÆa pu Ûtre Útablie car lÆordinateur cible lÆa expressÚment refusÚe. (10061)
Connect on sock (host=simul-f, port=8678) failed, exhaused all end points
Unable to connect to 'simul-f:8678',
sock error: Error = -1

My firewall is inactivate.

Some idea?

Best regards,
Marine

Hi
Probably a problem with MPI install. It could be due to the Intel Mpi version which is available wioth the compiler.
If you use the default version of telemac, the compilation was made with MPICH2 version of MPI...

So, diffucult to give you a solution but you could try to test mpi manually.
With a command windows, you could go into the tmp directory generated by telemac (eventually use the option -t to avoid the automatic delete) and try to lauch the computation The command mpiexec -n 2 out... should maybe work. and the you could check the good option for your configuration.

I've seen in some instalaltion that MPI waits for a login/password but in the telemac launch nothing appear on the screen...

Hope this help

Thank you

I finally find a solution. MPICH2 was not well installed
In fact, we need to install at first the 32 bits version before to install the 64 bits version of MPICH

I have another question : when Télémac works, it uses the Fortran compiler and visual studio during the totality of simulation or just when we launch the computation ?

Thank for your help

Hi

The solution for MPICH2 is not logical. You don't have to install both version because that will probably generate conflict as the MPI daemon is the same (SMPD) and MPIEXEC should exist at 2 different location on you computer. But if it works ...

For the second question, please create a new dedicated topic because the question is not related to MPICH2.
Nevertheless, the answer is just for the compiling step.

Hope this helps

I know it's not logical but it's works ....
The solution was given to me by a forum of MPICH2
But with this installation we create only one directory for MIPCH2. The installation of 64bits version erase the 32bits version ...

Ok
Thanks for the information
That probably means the 64 bits version setup program didn't update some environment variables like the 32 bits does...
