Hi all!

I just had a look at the T2D dico file related to the new version and discovered something rather interesting: keyword BREACH to be used to model breaches using changes in geometry via a BREACH DATA FILE.

I then had a look in the v6.1 dico file to see if the BREACH function already existed in previous version but it seems that it comes with the new release.

Where can we find a description on how the BREACH DATA FILE should be defined?

Finally, are new user manuals going to be released to take into account changes in v6.2?

Thank you in advance and good weekend!

Hi
A short document should be available soon with a small descriptions of the new functionnalities.
For breaches, it's a new function and you could see an example in the validation test case : 044-breach
In the version 6.2, the management of bottom evolution in order to represent breaches in dikes has been added. A new logical keyword BREACH (BRECHE) is available to activate this functionality. The description of breaches is made in a dedicated file: BREACHES DATA FILE (FICHIER DE DONNEES DES BRECHES).
As a first implementation, only the bottom lowering was coded. The opening of breaches by widening is not available.
3 options are available for breach generation:
• 1 : Start at a given time;
• 2 : Start when the average water level on dike exceed a given value;
• 3 : Start when the water level at a specific point exceed a given value.
All the required information should be given in the BREACHES DATA FILE (see validation test case 044).
Regards
Christophe
