TOPIC: Returning Water Surface Elevation of a river flow simulation

Returning Water Surface Elevation of a river flow simulation 12 years 1 month ago #5966

Hello everyone,

I have been running some simple river flow simulations and ran into an issue when visualizing the results. Currently, TELEMAC-2D doesn't seem to explicitly return the Water Surface Elevation, but rather, returns the 'Free Surface Elevation.' This includes not only the water surface elevation, but also the topographic elevation of the dry river banks/topography.

Is there a way to have Telemac-2D return only the Water Surface Elevations?

Best regards,

Chris

Hi Chris

You mean water depth, I guess ?
Of course you can have it in your result file!
you need only to add 'H' to the 'VARIABLES FOR GRAPHICAL OUTPUTS'

My best regards,

Or use the calculator in Blue Kenue to subtract the bathymetry from the free surface elevation.
