Hello again everybody,

I have an other question, is it possible like on CFD (Computionnal Fluid Dynamics) software as Ansys Fluent, Comsol (...); to define sleeping wall
or symetrie boundary condition ?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

Hello,

A symmetric boundary condition is probably like a straight wall without friction. For the sleeping wall, I do not know what it is if not another name for symmetry.

Hello,

Maybe sobo634 wants to talk about wall with slip conditions? In that case, please read the user manual.

Hello JM HERVOUET,

In fact I think it's slipin wall or sweeping ?
But it don't matter; it's like symetrie.

Now how doing a straigth wall without friction, in Blue-Kenu an inside the
"cas" file.

If n is the outward, an V the velocity it's look like V.n = 0 ?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

If you do nothing special for the solid walls, they will have a slip condition, because the default treatment of boundaries gives them no friction.

General question on no-slip wall boundary conditions 11 years 2 months ago #10141

Hello,

I would like to specify a no-slip condition at the solid wall boundaries in my model(friction at the walls). I know that the AUBOR variable found in the conlim file represents the friction coefficient at the boundary if LIUBOR and LIVBOR = 2 and that the default is 0 (slip condition). However, based on the info in the user manual, it isn't clear to me what value I should assign to AUBOR in order to specify the desired roughness at the walls.

I am using LAW OF BOTTOM FRICTION = 4 (Manning's) and am not using the k-Epsilon model.

Thanks!

Hello again

I asked this question for symetrie condition.

But in the case of coast ( "côtes" in French), for maritime simulation
what kind of Boudary Wall condition take?

Thanks in advance

Very Best Regards
