Hi everyone,

Actually I work on a simulation with ARTEMIS (V6P1) coupled with T2D (V6P1) to represent the currents induced by waves forces. This steps works great.

Next I should run a model with a oil slick pollution case. But in my opinion I can't use the tracer with Subief because the oil slick is located on the sea surface. Am I rigth?

Have you some adivice to solve this problem?

I have another question on the coupling with T2D, can I coupled TOMAWAC and T2D to calculate the currents waves?

Thanks in advance.

Romain.

Hello,

Actually we have an oil spill model that will be included in Telemac this year, for the next release. You can contact Cédric Goeury for details, at the following address : .... (at least he can give you a copy of his PhD).
Depending on what you exactly want to do, you may then want to wait for a first draft version, or start with a simple tracer in 2D.

With best regards,

Jean-Michel Hervouet

Dear Jean-Michel,

I had sent a mail to C. Gouery and in the same time I tried to start with a simple tracer in 2D.

I would like to put a decay into my tracer (fortran), once I have put a decay in T3D with the source-trac subroutine, but in T2D this subroutine doesn't exist, or maybe with another name.

Have you some advices?

Thanks in advance.

Romain

Hi Romain,

Have a look at the reference manual for our lagrangian oil spill model.
ftp://kenueftp.chc.nrc.ca/OldEnSimStuff/OilSim/OilSim.pdf

It was developed for Environment Canada and is used operationally to guide emergency response.

If this model suits your needs we could discuss availability.

Cheers... Martin

The text of the ftp link is correct, however I didn't embed it in the message properly.

Here is the link
