open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi all!

I have tried to use the option -d to launch a computation with a delay time, but it seems that this option is no longer available. It is for example not listed in the options list when consulting the help (-h).

But it still appears in the T3D manual for version 6.2.
Has this option been abandonned?

Hi,

I can't tell if the option has been removed or not, but I can share the method I use to do such simulations. In fact, I found it from another user on this forum (I truly can't remember who though).

You need to type your command line in Notepad, which will look somewhat like this : telemac2d cas.txt . Then, change the extension from .txt to .bat and it will become an executable file. By double-clicking on the .bat, your simulation should start. To create a delayed start, under WinXP, under the configuration panel, you can you can program a "Planned tasks" I think, (Tâches planifiées in french), and you should be good to go.

Thx for your reply. I also normally launch computations with .bat files, but I didn't know that windows could be set so to execute files this way.
I am actually working in Sweden on a Swedish version of Win7, and the problem is that I am French with not a complete knowledge of the windows terms in swedish
So I will try to find my way, maybe the internet will be of better help!
