I'm using a constant VALUE OF THE TRACER AT THE SOURCES.

Is it possible to simulate a time varying value of the tracer?

As for the discharge, the SOURCES FILE allow you to manage the value of tracer.

For the tracer concentration, there is a double numbering, one for the source number (same like for discharge) and one for the tracer number.

Thanks for the suggestions.However still doesn't works.

I'm trying to impose a constant water discharge Q(1)=1.18m3/s at a source point and a time varying tracer (see source.txt) TR(1) at the same source point.

As I wrote in my previous post, there is a double numbering for tracer!
You should have something like TR(1,1) in your file (Tracer 1 at the Source 1)

I did that in the source.txt, however checking the results it appears that the tracers are imposed at the boundaries instead that at the source point...

Take care of what you're doing. I said TR should have double index, not Q!
Q is the discharge at the source point, there is only 1 discharge per sources
But as you could have more than 1 tracer, the double inxex allow you to enter the concentration of tracer 1 at the source 1 and also the concentration of tracer 2 at the source 1 ...

What are your boundary conditions for tracer?

Did you try to use the validation test case to give you an overview of the management of tracers?
