Hi all,
I want to printout in my SECTIONS OUTPUT FILE the tracer flowrate across other two sections different from input and output.
Now the program printouts the water flowrate of these sections but also i need tracer flowrates.

What can i do?

Best regards.

Massi

Hello,

This is not done yet. It has been done in Sisyphe for suspended load and bedload, you can see it in flusec_sisyphe.f and fluxpr_sisyphe.f, however it is only an approximation (a computation fully compatible with finite elements would be a bit more complicated, as the product of depth per velocity per tracer would be of third order).

I hate to resurrect an old post, but this is probably the best place to ask my question.

Is it still not possible to calculate tracer fluxes across control sections? How about outlet boundaries?

Thanks,
-Simon

Hi Simon

As Jean-Michel said, it's possible to add this in the code but to have an exact value and not an approximation, this require some attention.
I remind I coded such computation 12 years ago in a post process program, but I don't know if I always have this program on my computer (at this moment we worked on Unix station...).

If I find the code, maybe we could implement it in the next reference version. But there is no guarantee about finding it.

Best regards
Christophe

Hello Simon

Very probably, this is not done yet. I will verify more in depth.
for outlet boundaries, the flux is computed in order to compute the mass balance.
Have a look on routine bilant1.f (sources/telemac2d), the outlet flux is given by flusor(for finite volumes only) or by fltddl for both finite elements and finite volumes.

I hope that this helps
with my best regards
