Hello,
I defined weir using Fudaa – solid boundary with parameters similar to validation case 37 (weirs) for TELEMAC 2D. The difference is that the weir do not reach the frontiers of the domain, it doesnt go across whole area of interest. The problem is that in case the water level is higher than the edge of the weir, the weir is still flown around by the water. I looked at topics „Problems with weirs“ #8784 and „No flow on the weir“ #8373 but they seem to be unfinished.
What could be wrong? What can be done?
Thanks a lot.

Hello Fany

To represent the weir you need to use a couple of sets of boundary nodes placed together and should correspond 1 to 1. These boundaries should be far enough from the weir (upstream and downstream).
I can't understand your sentence "The problem is that in case the water level is higher than the edge of the weir, the weir is still flown around by the water", however you can find the formula that gives the flowrate used by Telemac in page 76 of the user manual. If these formula do not satisfy you you can edit the subroutines loiden.f and loinoy.f
Please give us more clearly the details of your problem if this post does not answer to your request.

With my best regards
