open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Dear all

I'm trying to simulate a simple case of flow of a segment of river, base on that I will extend for flooding simulation at both landing sides.However, I don't know what are wrong in my case as attached file, the simulation run only two iterations and then stop ( finish with note " correct end of run"). I want to simulate for long time but it seem that I get result for first time step Could somebody look through and give me some advice?

Hi,

You have given the option
VARIABLE TIME-STEP = true
TIME STEP =10.0
because of which the model run is not considering the constant time step of 10 seconds.

try changing
VARIABLE TIME-STEP =NO
and then run it, you should be able to see the simulation running with 10 second time step.

I have changed as your instruction and reduce time step to 1 second, however there is other error as below detail( ERREUR : Le mot < xxx> n'existe pas dan le dictionnaire. If I fix the first keyword <xxx> to default, it appears other keywords <yyy> which is wrong . I tried to find the solution on forum but it seem to be large information and they do not help me. I also compared each keyword of my case with other test case, I get no answer for mine . Is there any error in my set up directory ?
Kindly please give me your opinion for the matter.

Sorry for my late reply.
Apparently I happen to run the simulation with time step = 1. And in my case the simulation has completed successfully without any errors.

It puts me in doubt as how it was not working in your case. I am using telemac version 6.2 with Python and the log message which you posted indicates that you are using telemac 6.1 with perl. May I know as what is the change you did to make the simulation work.

You are right, I'm using version 6.1 with perl. During simulating, I use Fuaaa-prepro- as graphic interface. The error of non-keyword in dictionary disappeared after I set default of advection of tracer and diffusion of tracers. However there was another error appear < keywork xxx un known..> and < Damocles of another language>. I edited keyworks by Fudaa-prepro, but it didn't work. And then, I opened steering file (.cas) by notepad and deleted the line of < variable to be printed> (maybe it locates wrong - should be below the Input -output, graphic and listing) , deleted a balance line under mentioned keywork ( xxx) and saved the steering file. After, my simulation ran well, I still don't understand what is wrong. I'm trying with 2days simulate and time step is 5s.

I guess my setup have problem.
