Hi,
I had given the water surface elevation as a text file in using "LIQUID BOUNDARY FILES". I ran the model for 5 days and the results are seems to be meaningless. When i check the water surface in Bluekenue it shows the constant value (which i gave as a prescribed elevation) and when i animate the velocity its keep on decreasing. Please help me with this

Herewith i am attaching the files

Hi Satish,

The model region which you have selected is considerably a large region comprising a considerable large portion of Arabian Sea. Which implies that the forcing should be given at all open boundary. The boundary condition file which you have taken does not give proper forcing at the outer boundaries. Modify the boundary condition file and then try to run the model.

Secondly the tidal boundary condition at all the outer node in this model is not the same, as there is a variation in tide amplitude and phase at each outer nodes, try forcing the model by imposing the tidal forcing derived from tidal constituents. Telemac 2d and 3d now has the option to forcing the model from various tidal constituents database.

I have attached a modified boundary condition file FOND_BC.cli, where the forcing is at outer open boundaries.

I have also attached a sample case, of the same region where I have taken tidal constituents forcing from TPXO model.

The sample model also consider wind forcing,
give WIND = NO, to run the model without considering wind forcing.

Hi Gourish,
I changed the boundary condition file but still it showing the same results. I didnt include tide data.I just gave the water surface elevation details which was attached earlier.

Hi Satish,

Change the header in the liquid boundary file
from
T s
s m

to
T SL(1)
t m

and try running the simulation
