Hi, everyone,

I can run telemac2d successfully, however, I want to know the meaning of the results. there are four results when finish the telemac2d running in cmd window, they are separately:

1, initial volume

2, final volume

3, volume that entered the domain

4, total volume lost

I want to know how telemac2d get the initial volume, and the definition or meaning of these four results.

Best regards!

Hello,

The initial volume is the integral of depth over the whole domain, idem for the final volume. The volume that entered the volume is the integral along time of fluxes through the open boundaries. All this is based upon the variational formulation of theSaint-Venant continuity equation.
