I have compiled telemac v6p3 but when I try to run the examples given (using the command >telemac2d example.cas, I get the error message below.
READ_CONFIG : FICHIER CONFIG NON TROUVE : CONFIG
VALEURS PAR DEFAUT DE LU ET LNG : 0 ET
READ_CONFIG: FILE CONFIG NOT FOUND: CONFIG
DEFAULTS VALUES OF LU AND LNG: 0 AND 0

ARRET DE DAMOCLES

STOP ERREUR DAMOCLES 1

It produces two files T2DCAS and T2DDICO in the folder I'm running and the two files are empty.

This file CONFIG is created by the Perl or Python script, here you seem to use Perl? Apparently the temporary directory where you should find a copy of all the files is empty, and the first problem is CONFIG, then T2DCAS and T2DDICO. It could be an error somewhere in the paths values, in the file systel.ini for example.

I successfully installed v6p1 on my PC awhile back, but am now putting v6p3 with Python on my Mac, and am having exactly the same issue. Compiles just fine, but cannot find CONFIG file.
echo $SYSTELCFG shows the correct path.
Where is it trying to look that the path is missing?

Hi, I had the same issue after installing version 6.3 with Python scripts and this is how you can solve it. As it's said in Python installation document www.opentelemac.org/index.php/documentat...rocedure-with-python to run model type the command:

> python runcode.py telemac2d -s cas-file

this one launch script "runcod.py" which created temp directory, generates CONFIG, then T2DCAS and T2DDICO, compiles and links fortran files (if you have them) and actually starts telemac2d executable.

thank you, this was helpful and all is running well now.
Following the idea below, I was trying to simply call the executable that was created by putting it into the same folder as my .cas file, which doesn't work. If I change path to the scripts folder, call the script noted by Mike, and specify my path to the .cas file, THEN it works well. Different than how I have run it previously with the Perl script, but works equally as well.
