open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello all,

I've created a T2D/BlueKenue tutorial for a class and wish to receive feedback on how it can be improved. Attached is an early draft, and it is fairly bloated (~94 pgs). The section I'm working on currently is the post-processing section using BlueKenue, and I would appreciate any words of advice or suggested analyses to cover in this section.

This tutorial is geared towards individuals who have no prior knowledge of either program, and covers a basic workflow for acquiring bathymetric data, creating a mesh, running TELEMAC-2D, and viewing the results.

Your feedback and criticisms would be greatly appreciated, as I hope this could help others in the future.

This is a very nice introduction to TELEMAC-2D and Blue Kenue, with lots of informative screen captures.

If you agree I would like to add your organization to our support page with a link to your webpage. Could we also add your tutorial to our Download area ?

Further, I would advise you keep an eye on what is coming with MASCARET (as opposed to HEC-RAS) and the possible coupling with TELEMAC-2D.

Finally, do not hesitate to contact any of the members (support page) to get advanced training on (or invite lecturers to talk more about) either Blue Kenue and any other module of the TELEMAC-MASCARET system so you can develop these courses yourself too.

I'd be happy to have the tutorial website included on the support page. I also do not object to including the tutorial in the download area, but I would like to wait until current revisions are complete, which will be done on Thursday.

I will certainly keep my eye out for new developments using MASCARET, as well as other modules that I haven't yet explored.
