Hello!

I run a model with a discharge curve at one boundary condition and at the other one I wanted a stage-discharge curve. So I put at this boundary LIQUID WITH PRESCRIBED ELEVATION and set it 0. The file of the stage discharge curve is enclosed.
The simulation runs and works, but at the nodes of the boundary the water depth of the first value in the stage-discharge curve is set.I set a flowrate of 1230m³/s at the first boundary and it seems like less than 113m³/s(the lowest value of the stage-discharge curve) arrive there.
When I have a look at the flowrate one node has values between 5 to 8m³/s. Doesn't Telemac summarize the flowrate of the nodes of a cross-profile?

Thanks for your help!
Best,
Sarah

Hello Sarah

Sorry for this late reply.
I did'nt understand very well you post (and maybe this the reason why nobody has answered).
To prescribe the stage-discharge curve you need to prescribe at the corresponding liquid boundary a prescribed elevation condition and you need to add the key-word STAGE-DISCHARGE CURVES with a value of 1 for boundary where you want to apply this condition and 0 otherwise.
If you look at your file, the flowrate varies from 113 to 120m3/s but in your post you have a flowrate of 1230m3/s. In that case, the last value (56.8m) will be applied for all local flowrates greater than 120m3/s. Note that, we speak about global flowrate, on the whole liquid boundary and not node by node. if you want to manage the velocity profile at the boundary you need to use the key-word VELOCITY PROFILE (see user manual for values to be used).

I'm not sure that I have answered to your question, but I hope that it helps.
With my best regards
