Hi,
there are some problems to impose a discharge boundary condition in the FVM schemes. I observed that it only works for uniform flow. So I guess it is not your mistake.
Generally the FVM schemes are separated from the FEM schemes which means that most things are not available (e.g. Turbulence) so you can clean up your cas file. You also have to check the friction law/parameters.
Best regards,
Leo

Hi
First, my best wishes for this new year.
The problem is linked to the definition of the normals to the boundary at the junction between solid and liquid segments. This defintion is not identic between FEM and FVM kernels. The introduction of discharge at the liquid boundary is based on a mask built by liquid segments and the normal vectors on these latters. That's why we have different imposed discharges. Actually the water volume in the domain depends also on output discharge which may be different between FEM and FVM even though the prescribed elevation at that boundary is exactly respected.
This problem is on the top of my do-list, thus I hope it will be fixed very soon.
With my best regards
Riadh
