I want to add the 100mm/s rainfall in my domain. And as my mesh size is very small, I could like to use FV to do the simulation.

Mr. Jean-Michel Hervouet replied my last question and mentioned that:

"Regarding the rainfall, I would try first the finite element option, I do not see any rain in the Finite volume part, maybe my colleagues could confirm that it is not yet implemented."

So I could like to make sure that is it possible to do the simluation by FV?

Thanks a lot.

Best wishes,

Hello

In deed, Rain and evaporation are not implemented yet for the FV option. I add it in my todo list for the next release (with many other source terms)
To confirm Jean Michel suggestion, when the mesh is very refined, it is recommanded to use finite element option which is much less sensitive to time step restrictions.

With my best regards
