open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

I installed the Telemac v6p3 on my laptop, as I has two cores I would like to run my telemac2d model in parallelism.

I put the ket word PARALLEL PROCESSORS = 2 in my model, but when I try to run it, it gives me an error like this:




parallel inconsistency:

you may be using an inappropriate configuration :win7gfors
or may be wishing for scalar mode while steeing to 2 processors

do I need to modfiy the system file? Like change the path or something?

Hi,

win7gfors is the configuration used for a single processor only. You need to specify the configuration for parallel. If you post your systel.cfg, I could point you to the parallel one.

There is no parallel configuration in your systel.cfg. Did you use the automatic installer? If yes, which file did you use? There are scalar (single processor) and parallel binaries.

I used the automatic installer to install the telemac on my laptop.

Yes, you are right, I haven't find the parallel configuration in my systel.cfg.

But in my folder. the paral is there:



But it seems like the file is not actived...

I'm don't how to modify, I just start to use this model last week.

Rename systel.cfg to systel.scalar.cfg and then rename systel.parallel.cfg to systel.cfg in order to make it active. I assume that you have installed parallel enabled binaries, right?

Add -localonly after -wdir <wdir> in the mpi_cmdexec: line in your configuration file and try again...
