Hello all,
i have jus started using telemac and i am stuck with basic things. i have to apply the tidal elevation(the time series) at open boundary. i manually extracted the time series from TMD. where to do have to specify the time series of each node in the cas file?

Hello Aqleema,

I normally used Fudaa to assign boundary conditions in a waterbody. Fudaa would save the parameters of your setting in the cas file, however you need to re-check the setting manually. I think this is the best way for a beginner.

Hello,

To assign the open boundary time series to every single node by using Fudaa is not a practical work. Perhaps there is another advance method that require somebody to answer this question.

Hello,

You can also program functions tr, sl, q, vit (library telemac2d), depending on what you want, or using the LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE if the values are varying in time but constant per liquid boundary. Another possibility is to program directly the subroutine bord.f, all the implementation in it has only for goal to give the prescribed values of depth and velocities, which are stored in arrays HBOR, UBOR and VBOR.
