Hello,

I would like to simulate the flooding of a city (in ME) without storm drainage network. Since the whole wadi is urbanised, I would like to define a precipitation (time variable) over the city and simulate the hydrodynamic.

Could this be done using Telemac2D? In case of affirmation, how?

Basically you just need to add in your steering file:

RAIN OR EVAPORATION : YES
RAIN OR EVAPORATION IN MM PER DAY : your value (positive for rain)

preferably use :

TIDAL FLATS : YES
OPTION FOR THE TREATMENT OF TIDAL FLATS : 1
OPTION FOR THE TREATMENT OF NEGATIVE DEPTHS : 2
TREATMENT OF THE LINEAR SYSTEM : 2
SOLVER : 1

Hello,

You can look how the rain is used in subroutine prosou, you will see that the rainfall is given here for every point (so it can be variable in space) and you can add here a variation in time.
