Since updating from v6p2 to v6p3, myself and colleagues have been experiencing problems running our previous working models. I have been trying to run a model that is originally in Lat/Lon and converting to mercator using the corrxy.f subroutine. I know about the mistake in the trunk code about running lat/lon in degrees and not radians as posted previously in:

www.opentelemac.org/index.php/kunena/21-...-settings-v6p3/11130

I have made the corrections to the readgeo3.f subroutine and can get the model to run, in the sense that it will transform the mesh correctly by doing the transformation in readgeo3.f and not corrxy.f, but it will not actually create any tidal elevations or tidal velocities. I am using the TPXO database.

I eventually stopped trying to fix running in lat/lon and just created the mesh in mercator and not lat/lon, but when I trying running in mercator with the tpxo database, it does not represent the tidals even remotely correct. Having dug a little deeper I can see the tpxo.f subroutine requires coordinates in lat/lon.

Are there more subroutines that need to be modified if starting in lat/lon such that the tpxo database is called correctly?

Kind Regards

David
