open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi everybody,
I try to carry out a simulation with the elder model. Prior, I performed the same simulation with the k-E-model, the Smagorinsky model and with a constant viscosity. The simulations were performed without any problems. When I now want to simulate the model with the Elder model the simulation stucks always after 330 Seconds. I don't know what went wrong.
Maybe anybody of you have an idea what I could change. The used files are attached.

There are several unuseful options in your steering case, try to optimize them.
For the Elder model, you can adjust the coefficients for the longitudinal and transversal effects by the use of the key-word
NON-DIMENSIONAL DISPERSION COEFFICIENTS: Kl,Kt

Finally, I'm curious to see when the code stops exactly and which error message it genrates.

thank you for your answer. Which unuseful options do you see in my steering file? Which would you optimise?
Since I use the Elder model for the first time I wanted to use the default values of the turbulence model. I'm not experienced with turbulence modelling, so I wouldn't know in which way I should modify the parameters.
Actually, there is no error message at all the model just stucks at the time step 330 sec. (see Attached Picture).



I let the simulation run for more then 3 hours and nothing happened. The time to come to this time step was about 5 Minutes.

I didn't look to your model (except the steering file) but I think you probably have a problem with your configuration.
Your time step is 0.1s and it takes 111 iterations to converge

Maybe you could try to print all the time step in the listing file and also in the result file to check if something goes wrong somewhere (high velocity, unrealistic free surface ...)
