Hello,

Could you please tell me the references that you have used to prescribe the discharges in the buse.f subroutine?

Kind regards,
Maria

Hi

There is no specific reference.
Inspiration comes from Carlier or Lencastre.
The idea of this subroutine is to compute a discharge which could follow :
  • a weir law if the water level is lower than the top level of the tube
  • an orifice law otherwise
You have some parameters you could use to calibrate the head loss:
  • CE and CS for the input/output head loss coefficient
  • L12 for the linear head loss in the tubes
The description of each tube is a geometrical description.

Hope this helps

Hello,

Thank you for your replies. I was really interested in the references to compare the expressions with other existent expressions in the literature. This would be also good to have an idea of the head loss coefficient values that I have to impose. I will try to search in the references that you have mentioned.

Maria
