Hi all,

I want to restart a simulation from a previous run but when I do so it restarts from the time 3600 s even though my run did last more than 3600s. If I set the key word "ENREGISTREMENT POUR SUITE DE CALCUL" for example to 7200 and the key word "SUITE DE CALCUL" to OUI in the .cas file I get an error message : "ERREUR DE LECTURE DANS L'ENREGISTREMENT 8".

Do you know what I can do ?

Hello,

ENREGISTREMENT POUR SUITE DE CALCUL is the record number in the file (that correspond to the requested time), not the time itself.

Be aware also that there is a keyword : REMISE A ZERO DU TEMPS (logical) that may interfere if it is set to YES in your steering file.

But none of these remarks explains the restart from 3600 s, you should check what are the times of the different records in your file used for the restart, see if there is one with time > 3600 s (in this case the wrong behaviour is not explained), and which one has time = 7200 s.

With best regards,

Jean-Michel Hervouet

Hello,

I just realized this was an error with the "PREVIOUS COMPUTATION FILE" key word ...

I have another question : if I have a forcing file from time 0s to time 7200s and I want to start my run at time 3600s using the key word "CONDITIONS INITIALES" set to 'COTE CONSTANTE'. Is there a key word to do this ? I tried the key word "ORIGINAL HOUR OF TIME" but this doesn't seem to be the right key word.

Hello,

You can set the variable AT0 to 3600.D0 in subroutine CONDIN.

OK, thank you, I didn't know the initial time was fixed in the subroutine CONDIN. I can also create a key word 'INITIAL TIME' and modify the code such that AT = INITIAL_TIME
