River sourced time dependent tracer 10 years 2 months ago #14130

Hi,

I'm trying to simulate (V6P1) a river inflow (open boundary 1)to an estuary using a LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE, of the form:

T(1) Q(1) T1(1) T2(1)
s m3/s mg/l
0 0 0 0
1800 10 0 5
...

where T1=salinity and T2=Carbon.

Q works fine, but the tracers don't change.
I also use PRESCRIBED TRACERS VALUES in the cas file - I thought that the LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE would overide this command, but it dosent.

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks, Peter

Hi
You have to check in the sources but it seems to me that tracers are referenced TR in the liquid boundaries file.
Maybe the number should also wary as I remember the numbering was continuous in 6.1
Since v6.2, the numbering changed to TR(X,Y) where one value give the tracer number and the other the boundary number

Hope this helps
Christophe
