Hi everyone:
I am new in Telemac and I am interesting in simulating the effects on the estuarine hydrodynamics derived from the tidal energy extraction.
My question is: Has Telemac any kind of tool, which can be used to represent the momentum loss term generated by the operation of the turbine?? or it is necessary to modify the source code of the model to take into account the operation of the turbine?
Thank you! Kind regards.

Hello
There is an option, already implemented in telemac-2D, that consists in introducing the effect of obstacle, i.e. a drag force.
You can have a look on the validation case called "dragforce" that you can find in folder examples/telemac2d
More information can be found in the user manual in section 6.6
With my best regards
