Hello,

A Simulation running last week parallel on 4 Processors is not running in parallel mode any more. Terminal says:

MPI launcher  : /usr/bin/mpirun -machinefile mpirun.txt -np 4 out6113_gfortran_
linux-debug.exe 
 MASTER PROCESSOR NUMBER            0  OF THE GROUP OF            1
 P_INIT: FILE PARAL IS INCONSISTENT WITH MPI PARAMETERS
 MPI NCSIZE   =            1
 PARAL NCSIZE =            4

I'm a really beginner to this subject, so I don't know where to change NCSIZE in my system. I hope someone can help me.

Hello,

It seems that the MPI launcher gives the number 4. Then the MPI NCSIZE is retrieved by a command that gives the number of processors really running, it should be 4 and it is 1, so it seems that MPI does not manage to really launch the processors. If you have not updated something on Telemac side, it must be something related to MPI or the computer.

I just installed paraview 3.14 with some required packages @Sébastien: i wonder where i find the configuration file incl. DHAVE_MPI Attachments: Mellau_Plan.cas (3KB) BC_Mellau_Plan.cli (136KB) mpirun.txt (0KB)

However, note that ParaView could come with its own MPI library and that it is possible that your original installation of MPI got modified. Hope this helps, Sébastien.

Deleting the openMPI packages solved the problem - My system is running in parallel mode again Thank you all again Engelbert
