Hi,

I'm modeling a dam break in a plain situation. I have imposed a free liquid boundary downstream but when the flow reach this boundary, the level increase as if it was a wall, and the flow is not evacuated in a transparency way... What's wrong with what I Do ?

Thanks in advance,

Hello,

I suppose that the condition you have put is 4 4 4 (all free) at this exit ? Maybe Thompson boundary conditions would be better, because once the flow becomes fluvial 4 4 4 becomes not well posed.

Yes I Put 4 4 4. I have followed your advise and tried to run it with Thompson boundary, and it runs now perfectly!

Thanks for all!
