While running a tidal simulation on my Win 7 system I am getting an error message:

I am extracting the tidal forcing data for open boundary(544) from TPXO files h_tpxo6.2. I think the error is due to some of the subroutines which have to be modified for tidal modelling. Can anyone tell which of the subroutines need to be modified and the modification in the subroutine required. The steering file is also attached.

The last message of this kind was a lack of memory. At this level this is the only reason I can imagine. You can try with DEBUGGER = 1 to have more details. Otherwise we would need your case to see what happens.

Hum, difficult to say. What I see in your steering file is that the tidal files are given on two lines that have more than 72 characters, and there are spaces in the path, I am not sure it works. You have also 'CONSTANT ELEVATION' instead of 'CONSTANT ELEVATION' (two spaces instead of one) in the INITIAL CONDITIONS.
I do not know how this can end up in a segmentation fault but well, if you can fix this it would be safer. However I am not sure it is the real reasons.
