o.gourgue OFFLINE Expert Boarder Posts: 155 Thank you received: 11	I would like to print some variables only at the end (e.g. maximum depth, maximum velocity, etc.) while printing others every given period (GRAPHIC PRINTOUT PERIOD). The idea is to limit the size of the output file. I guess I would need to use two separate SLF files, right? Has someone already implemented something like that? Thank you for your help.

Hello,

the answer fits only if such informations are needed only in a postprocessing stage and furthermore e.g. the min/max values from a result file with a given graphic printout are sufficent. So if you don't need any intermediate values.

You could use BlueKenue which has this option under Tools -> Extract Surface -> ...
or if you are familiar with Python you can use the selafin parser from the Telemac Python utilities to read the selafin file and then you are very flexible.

I personally use the Matlab toolbox Telemac Tools from Thomas Benson (HR Wallingford), but I will definitively try the Python scripts someday! The problem is that I actually need to take into account the intermediate values in the computation of MAXZ and MAXV...
