Hi,

I have generated a "geometry_MRM.slf" using Blue Kenue. Using the BOTTOM file from the .slf, I created "bc_MRM.cli" and assigned the open boundary segments. Then started the simulation on TELEMAC-2D v7p0. I got the following error message:

"Point 125554 is on a boundary but not in the list of boundary points or the number of lines in the boundary conditions file is greater than: 14757 number taken in the geometry file."

It is true that my .cli file has 14758 lines, which is greater than the number of boundary nodes taken from the geometry file (ipobo says 14757 points).

Does anyone have a clue why and how can I fix this? (Please also see attached image).

Thanks.

Regards,
Heng

Hello

Very probably, you have made a bad manipulation when generating your geometry file. I see you have 3 ipobo in your geometry file which is strange.
If you have your T3S folder, try to generate again the geometry file and then the corresponding .cli file.

with my best regards

Hi Riadh,

Thanks for your reply. Each time I right click at ipobo to show attribute table, there will be this ipobo(id) generated.

I did first generated my geometry file first then the corresponding .cli.

I managed to get a response from my colleague from the UK and was told that 90% of the time, if I get an error on the .cli file, that is because something is wrong with the mesh, and she did find a mistake on my mesh (see attachment). She suggested me to go through all the coastline and islands to check if my mesh is well generated or not.

I guess I will need to go through what she suggested and hopefully problem will be solved. I can only work on this on Friday.

Thanks, Riadh.
