For tracer simulation, if i do not specify unit (as the two distributed examples for oil spill), what unit telemac2d will use internally?

If i do specify unit as in the manual 'Tracer1 KG/M3 ', will telemac use kg/m3 for internal calculation or only for result display (eg in BlueKenue)?

Thanks

Hi,

Units are only for result display.
You can specify what you want.

For salinity and temperature you have to use International System of units if you take into account of the density variability.

Hello,

If your tracer is not an active tracer, like temperature or salinity, it has no importance. kg/m3 is a good option. Non dimensional is also possible and can be interpreted as kg of tracer per kg of water.
