Hello!

I try to define different friction coefficients by using preprocessor Janet. I generated a new friction layer, created 3 closed polygones and assigned friction values and ID's.
Now my questions: When I export my grid to the .slf-format, Janet offers to save "BOTTOM" (the Grid Layer with interpolated DTM) and "BOTTOM FRICTION" (the polygon-layer with friction information). I attached a picture of this.
When I export the "BOTTOM FRICTION" in addion, the friction values are saved in the .slf-file? Or do I have to interpolate the friction values first to the grid? I read something like this in older posts here in the forum. But when I do this, what about the values of the digital terrain model that are interpolated on the grid?
What keywords I have to adjust so that Telemac2d is unsing the friction values given by Janet?
And when I open the grid in FUDAA to adapt the keywords, is there an option to see the friction parameters?
Thank you! Best regards, Kathi

Hello,

For what I now, Janet will copy the bottom friction and the bottom topography in the geometry file. They are recognised by Telemac with their names which are given in the selafin file format. You can refer to subroutine FONSTR.F in library bief to see how it is done.

With best regards,
