Hello,

I've previously run a simulation with time-varying tracers from a LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE.
When I re-run the exact simulation now, my tracers appear time-constant at the prescribed tracer values.

The only other thing I see that is different is that the output seems to be time-stamped to 1900/5/01, rather than 'Time elapsed' as it was before.

I wonder if I am not reading the time correctly in my LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE?
I'm not sure if the Telemac2d version has changed between my runs.

So, has anything changed between Telemac2d versions (> V6.1) that would cause this to happen?

Many thanks, Peter

Hello,

Look on this site : home ==> What's new ==> New features of Telemac-2d 6.2

There is a new presentation of tracers in the liquid boundaries file.

Hi again,

I have another perculier problem:

If I simulate from Time = zero, with prescribed Q in LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE, everything works fine.

But, if I start from a hotstart simulation (Time = 120 days), the I can't read Q. (I think my velocities at the boundary are forced with constant values from the cas file).

In the LIQUID BOUNDARIES FILE, I have changed the time of Q from starting at T=zero to starting at T=120*24*3600 s.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Many thanks

Hello,

You could try to use the same file starting from time = 0 and add in your steering file :

INITIAL TIME SET TO ZERO : YES

or if you have already this keyword it could be the reason...

With best regards,
