Hi everyone,
I have a question about the variables to be printed out. If I use the Smagorinsky model to compute the turbulence, I want to print out the viscosity. Can I use 'VARIABLES FOR GRAPHIC PRINTOUTS = D' in the steering file?
Thank you very much.

Hello,

Yes, why not ? If in doubt you can look at subroutine nomvar_telemac2d.f and the array MNEMO that contains all the abbreviations of the variables that can be printed out.

Thank you, JMH
But I read the telemac2d.dico, 'D="turbulent viscosity of k-epsilon model (m2/s)"'. So I mean, if I can use 'D' when I use other turbulence modeles.

Hello,

Yes, I think so, if not, tell us. Anyway I'll change the dictionary.

Yes, it is work. I am just confused by the dictionary. Thank you very much!

Hi, i run telemac2d and 3d v6p3, i need the simulation to graphically printouts turbulent energy, K and dissipation, E. I already inserts the 'K,E' among others variables in VARIABLES FOR GRAPHIC PRINTOUTS of my steering file for telemac2d and telemac3d (run saperately) but it fails to provide graphical data of K and E when open with Blue Kenue and Tecplot 360. Is there any problems or somethings that i should take note of?

thanks.

best regards

Hi, I know a little about that...But have you chose the turbulence model of k-E model in your case file? Maybe you should attach your case file.

Hi,

in Telemac-2D the variables for turbulent kinetic energy and dissipation are named "K" and "E", respectively

In Telemac-3D they are named "K" and "EPS", respectively, and you have to use the keyword VARIABLES FOR 3D GRAPHIC PRINTOUTS, as described in the Telemac-3D manual.

Hope this helps,
Clemens

thank you for you help sir, it seems that i was not selecting the k-epsilon as my turbulence model. thanks.
