open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi everyone,

I am simulating an estuary, and I use TPXO as my "TIDAL HARMONIC CONSTITUENTS DATABASES". But the result of this simulation seems incorrect, that both the tide range and flow velocity were too low. I think whether this error my be attributed to the coordinate system. The following is the details about coordinate system.

1. Via "geokov.com/GMapV3/Demo/MapMaker.aspx", my research area is cross UTM 30 and 31. The main research site is in UTM30, but the sea boundary is located at UTM 31.
2. I transformed all data (boundary and bathymetry) into UTM 30 by Arcmap.
3. In the "STEERING FILE", I choose UTM 30 as "ZONE NUMBER IN GEOGRAPHIC SYSTEM"

Is this process right?

TIDAL DATA BASE
GEOGRAPHIC SYSTEM
ZONE NUMBER IN GEOGRAPHIC SYSTEM

You can look at the document wriitten by Chi-Tuan at EDF describing the various options: Manual-v6p2
.. although it is a bit old now.
