Hello,

I download an example of telemac2d named 'bumpcri', and inside, the prescribed discharge is 0.6, I try with different values of prescribed discharge like 1.5. In that case, Do I need to modify some values in the subroutine 'exacte' of file 't2d_bumpcri.f'????
because I see the free surface gotten by prescribed discharge at 1.5, at the boundary, it looks not well.

Thank you very much
jie

Hi Jie,

Yes, you have to modify the line "Q=0.3D0" by your new discharge (I don't know why the value is 0.3 and not 0.6).
But this discharge has no impact on the result of the simulation! This is just to compute an exact solution.
Perhaps you have to reduce your time step.

Olivier

Hi olivie,

Thank you for your reply !

Yes, I thought it was bizarre too, that the discharge is 0.3 not 0.6 for the supercritical case. But I find that for the 'bumpflu' and 'bumpcri', the discharge in the 'exact' subroutine is always half of the prescribed dicharge in the cas file. And I plot the discharge for the whole domaine and I find that the discharge is about 0.3 for 'bumpcri' case and '4.43' for 'bumpcri' case which is both the half of the prescribed discharge value. I don't quit understand this.

meanwhile for the 'exact' subroutien of 'bumpcri', they choosed 0.1D0 and 0.5D0 as the two born of x1 and x2, I need to change these values too if I change my prescribed discharge??

Thank you very much
jie
