open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Dear all,

I am trying to make a coupling with Telemac2D, Tomawac and Delwaq to simulate sediment transport in a coastal area.

Coupling only Telemac2D with Tomawac works without any problem. It is the same when I do the coupling between Telemac2D and Delwaq.

However, when I do the coupling Telemac2D-Tomawac-Delwaq, the model runs, no problem is reported, but the Delwaq related files (to be produced by Telemac) are empty.

Any idea why this issue?
Any suggestions is welcome.

This features have scarcely ever been verified. We need to know
- which version are you using
- python or perl environment
- parallel ou serial run

It could be interesting for the development team to try to run your model. Is it possible to send it to us

You should also upgrade to version v7p0. Several bugs were fixed since v6p3 and they could help to overcome your troubles.
unfortunately, we can not help more without running the model on our machines.

Sorry for the late reply. I followed your suggestion to upgrade to version v7p0, but still the same problem, when I do the coupling of t2d-tom-delwaq, the input files for DELWAQ are created but they are empty.
I reproduced this problem in a small test case. It is a squematic test case of an estuary with two open boundaries: river with a discharge and open sea with tidal condition (TPXO data base).
I am sending you the setup files (except the tpxo files, they are big).

I hope these files are useful for you to check this problem.

Well received, thank you. I started to debug and it is "just" that the subroutine Tel4del that writes the files ignores the fact that logical units are changed when there is a coupling. I prepare a patch and will post it soon.

If we can trust the history in the header it has not been changed since version 6.2 so it should work with all versions from 6.2 on.
