How is the TEMPERATURE related to SALINITY in terms of governing equation (apart from advection & diffiusion terms), which is being solved in TELEMAC2D?

Hello,

Temperature and salinity are passive tracers in Telemac-2D, except that horizontal gradients of salinity can be taken into account.

It is well understood that the passive tracers would not affect the flow velocity components (u,v &w).

If we want to model temperature and salinity for any 2D case, the salinity would be the function of temperature and vice versa. So i wish to know about the terms that connect salinity and temperature in the PASSIVE TRACER GOVERNING EQUATIONS.

Hello,

Sorry but there must be a misunderstanding, I do not see what you mean by:

"the salinity would be the function of temperature and vice versa"

The tracer equation page 10 is a general equation of a tracer where T can be as well the salinity or the temperature, but salinity and temperature are independent, there is no extra term linking them, to my knowledge.
